Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Bay Area Community Resources, San Rafael, CA, for the latter to provide support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 socio-emotional interventions for OIHS’s newly arrived immigrant students grappling with the adverse impacts of poverty and trauma, including: 1) In-depth student orientations and wellness checks as new students enroll in OIHS 2) Mentorship services, connections to caring adults and peer leaders 3) Early connections to behavioral health interventions - in advance of crisis situations. 4) Ongoing “Wellness Checks” for students struggling with behavioral health issues, and follow-up case management at Oakland International High School, for the period of August 21, 2019 through July 15, 2020, in an amount not to exceed $14,000.00 and COVID Amendment thereto.
