Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Playworks, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide: the contractor, Playworks, will provide a full time TeamUp coach who will help facilitate positive play at recess, provide comprehensive on-site training and support in youth development, group management, and safety to the identified school site Noon Supervisor. Playworks coordinator, will train Noon Supervisor and student Junior coaches in healthy play and physical activities for all enrolled elementary-age students. Playworks TeamUp Coordinator will be on-site for five-days each month to model and teach fair and cooperative strategies, games, and systems to develop and sustain a positive educational culture for everyone, starting at recess at New Highland Academy (ES) for the period of January 6, 2020 through March 13, 2020 in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 and COVID Amendment thereto.
