Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Agreement 2020-2021 between the District and 4FamilyBarbque Culture Builder, Oakland, CA, for the latter to engage in daily distance learning engagement check ins and provide intervention and social emotional learning support; partner with school Coordination of Supports Team (COST) to communicate with families and connect with parents for outreach related to academic and African American Male Achievement (AAMA) workshops as well as distance learning challenges; use training from AAMA partners to form elementary boys groups and mentor identified students on an ongoing basis; connect families with classroom teachers as needed; support the Student Council with organizing virtual activities, i.e,, Poetry Club, Creative Writing Club; organize "virtual" Dad’s club with parent workshops and virtual father/son and breakfast/lunch and support the development of schoolwide "positive culture and climate at Futures Elementary School, for the period of September 15, 2020 through June 30, 2021, in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00.
