Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Professional Services Agreement 2020-2021 between the District and Bay Area Community Resources, San Rafael, CA, for the latter to provide 2,242 additional hours of support and opportunities to newcomer students in the Young Hawks Program, to ensure students receive: Targeted academic support; Family/caregiver engagement; Summer school program for English Learners; Violence prevention and gang intervention; Drug abuse counseling Mental health counseling; and Court advocacy, in collaboration with the Newcomer Services Program of the English Language Learner and Multilingual Achievement (ELLMA) Department, the Office of Equity/Latino Student Achievement (LSA), as well as other departments/offices as needed, for the period of August 31, 2020 through May 28, 2021, in the additional amount of $65,000.00, increasing the Agreement not to exceed amount from $60,000.00 to $125,000.00. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect.
