Approval by the Board of Education of Contract for Services (Contract Number PI-NRS-2122-658) by and between the District and First 5 of Alameda County, Alameda, CA, with District accepting Grant Award from the latter, in the amount of $531,958.00, to support Summer Pre-K (SPK) programs and provide Early Childhood Education (ECE) and K-12 teachers with professional development and orientation to the SPK model; support a School Readiness Coordinator (Program Manager) to develop and implement year-round school readiness and transition programming including a student passport/snapshot form, a variety of family/child learning activities, and to provide financial relief to families with children 0-5 through the Oakland Educational Fund for the highest need families residing in the highest need neighborhoods in the City of Oakland, serving all Child Development Centers (CDC) and participating Summer Pre-K sites, for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022, pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Contract.
