Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Agreement for Architectural Services by and between the District and HKIT Architects, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide additional architectural and engineering services which includes design development, prepare construction documents, and contract administration for the site visits, seismic retrofit & interior improvements of the classroom and replacement of the existing kitchen/dinning building, as described in the proposal dated November 10, 2021, attached to this Amendment as Exhibit A, for the Roosevelt Middle School Modernization Project, in an additional amount of $5,725,642.00, which includes a contingency of $365,507.00, and $50,000.00, for reimbursable expenses, increasing Agreement not-to-exceed amount from $29,000.00 to $5,754,642.00, and extending the term of the Agreement from May 13, 2021 through May 21, 2024 to May 21, 2026, (an additional 730 calendar days), and authorizing the President and Secretary of the Board to sign the Amendment for same with said Contractor.
