Approval by the Board of Education of a Grant Agreement by and between the District and the Warriors Community Foundation via the County of Alameda, in the amount of $60,000.00, to support Kindergarten/First Grade (K/1) literacy development at five schools through $6,000.00 contribution to each school ($30,000.00 total) to pay for targeted reading interventions for K/1 students and/or books for students in kindergarten and first grade, with the other half of the grant ($30,000.00) to be used to build family literacy kits for parents to support the development of early literacy skills, with kits to include leveled books, letter and sight word flashcards, activities aligned to K/1 literacy milestones and guidance for working with the children, for the period of November 4, 2021 through June 30, 2022, pursuant to the terms and conditions thereof, if any.
