Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Services Agreement 2021-2022 by and between the District and The IKUNA Group, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide additional and direct literacy work to Pacific Islander (PI) youth, with an Individualized Education Program (IEP), who need additional, direct reading support with an emphasis on family partnerships to align strategies across school and home connection; encouragement for parents to participate in Community Advisory Committee (CAC) for special education meetings and professional development and learning for Special Educators supporting PI youth with IEPS, via the Special Education Department, for the period of August 16, 2021 through May 27, 2022, in an additional amount of $60,000.00, increasing the not to exceed amount of the Agreement from $60,000.00 to $120,000.00. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement reman in full force and effect.
