Approval by the Board of Education of a Memorandum of Understanding and Engagement Policy by and between District and Lozano Smith Law Firm, authorizing the latter to provide the following legal services to the Legal Department: defense of Government Code claims and, civil litigation (including claims and civil litigation related to facilities and charter schools); general legal advice and counsel as requested by the Legal Department on an as needed basis, for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $500,000.00 in a fiscal year.
