Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement by and between the District and the Regents of the University of California on behalf of its Bay Area Writing Project (BAWP), University of California at Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, for the latter to provide a multi-session professional development series that advances practice in the teaching and uses of writing in the content areas, with special emphasis placed on expanding practices for teaching argument writing as well as addressing the social-emotional contexts students bring to the learning environment, building strong student identities, and developing a positive classroom culture and community, as described in Exhibit A of Agreement, at Dewey Academy, for the period of March 16, 2022 through June 30, 2023, in an amount not to exceed $14,225.00.
