Approval by the Board of Education of Resolution No. 2223-0016 - Authorization for Approval of Student Travel - by Life Academy, for 10 students and 2 adults, as specified in Out of State Field Trip/Excursion Request, attached, for group exploration, travel and tour of Washington D.C, visiting the nation’s most iconic civic sites such as the Lincoln Memorial, the US Capitol, and the White House, with the trip designed to strengthen students’ sense of civic identity and leadership skills while enriching their historical knowledge; providing academically rigorous seminars where students will be examining foundational American documents, writing argumentative statements, and engaging in academic discourse with highly-motivated peers from around the world, for the period of May 7, 2023 through May 12, 2023, at no cost to the District.
