Accepts $21,500.00 more from the City of Oakland to help youth leaving juvenile justice enroll in school

The City of Oakland is giving the district an additional $21,500.00 in Measure Z violence prevention funding. It helps place students leaving the Juvenile Justice Transition Center into a district school or other educational setting, connects eligible youth to life coaching, and pays for one Enrollment Coordinator. The grant cap rises from $85,000.00 to $106,250.00 and the end date moves to September 30, 2023, so the Board is approving this after that date.
