Approval by the Board of Education of a Memorandum of Understanding and Interagency Agreement (MOU or Agreement) for a Practicum Service Fieldwork Experience Program-applying to District placements of University students, regarding course work for Advanced Degrees and Certifications, in the area of Mental Health & Wellness Sciences, Counseling & Guidance, including specialists in Social Work, and including Master of Social Work, with Emphasis in Pupil Personnel Services, and other Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credentials and certifications, as may be specified-is entered into by and between Oakland Unified School District (District or OUSD), a public school district in the State of California, County of Alameda, and The Regents of the University of California on behalf of University of California Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, for its School of Social Welfare (University, UCB, or UCBSSW), a public University under the auspices of the State of California-for the term December 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029, at no cost to the District other than for certain Non-Teaching Interns (Practicum Service Students) in PPS categories (Article 4/#2), who are not employees of the District, but may be allocated stipends (Article 4/#3) drawn from non-profit organizational grants to the District (e.g. Ed Fund), administered by the relevant departments of the District.
