Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2024-2025 by and between the District and Solutions for You, Vista, CA, for the latter, in the absence of a Nutrition Services Director, to oversee the procurement duties and train staff to meet state and federal nutrition services guidelines; provide menu planning support and coach the new candidate through onboarding and procurement processes; develop and implement efficient procurement systems, including clear protocols for opening and managing Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring timely creation and management of POs for continuous-use vendors; maintain accurate budget, with current costs enumerated and aligned to financial projections; identify and secure tools to enhance team skills, supporting upward mobility into higher administrative roles, and provide staff training in the Titan software to ensure consistent and accurate use across roles; build on existing systems established by the previous buyer, support the interim buyer while collaborating with Brigaid to refine kitchen operations and workflows; support audit preparation by conducting on-site reviews and provide solutions-oriented feedback on operations; evaluate field work, kitchen operations and procurement processes as part of the on-going efforts to improve efficiency, with a focus on staff training related to production records, substitute food items, receipt changes and new menu options; explore opportunities for more scratch cooking, incorporating potential new menu items for the Spring; increase information sharing, updates and team reporting to ensure transparency and progress; establish communication tools and protocols to effectively disseminate updates and action items; maintain Titan software proficiency for inventory management and collaborate with a designated Purchasing Agent to streamline processes while promoting respectful communication and office etiquette, via the Nutrition Services Department, for the period of October 15, 2024 through June 30, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $86,400.00.
