Approval by the Board of Education of the Construction Agreement Between Owner and Contractor by and between the District and Emergency Rooter, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide “trench excavation of approximately 130 linear feet, starting from the “Portables” building near Patterson Avenue and continuing toward Kansas Street, passing through landscaped areas and trees. At the building connection (6 feet deep), a two-way cleanout will be installed. The trench will terminate at Kansas Street, where a 2-foot-deep section of concrete sidewalk will be demolished and replaced. The existing storm lateral feeding into Patterson Avenue will be abandoned by excavating in the street, capping the line before it connects to the main, and restoring the asphalt surface. This work will require City of Oakland permits and inspections for the Abandon Sewer Lateral, Street Excavation, and the New Storm Sewer Lateral for the Laurel Elementary School Sewer Lateral Repair Project”, in the amount of $55,720.00, which includes a contingency fee of $5,572.00, with the work anticipated to commence on November 13, 2025, and scheduled to last until December 31, 2025.
